Inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio’s “The Decameron” (a story containing 100 tales told by a group of people sheltering in a villa just outside Florence to escape the Black Death), “Scranton Decameron” is 100 plays about Scranton. Ted Lorusso is an award winning published playwright and scriptwriter who has seen his work produced across many NYC / Off-Broadway stages (Dixon Place, The Kitchen Theatre, Twilight Theatre Co, Emerging Artist Theatre Festival, etc.). He wrote the script for Cracking Up (with Matt Mitler) produced by Foolish Mortal Films, which was the winner of the Venice International Film Festival Critic’s Choice Award and the New York Underground Film Festival People’s Choice Award.
